Professional Scholarships Program:
The Museums and the Web recognizes that many individuals who make significant contributions to the World Wide Web would be unable to attend MW without some financial assistance. New and innovative accomplishments on the Web come from all kinds of organizations throughout the world. Competitive scholarships covering full conference registration and a full day of workshops will be awarded to selected applicants. In special cases, some support will also be offered for travel and lodging costs. (The Museums and the Web does not provide the transportation between the airport to the conference hotel. Lodging does not include the food and room service.)
To be eligible, you must have made a significant contribution to the development of a cultural or heritage website or digital initiative, and must demonstrate that you would not be able to attend the meeting without support. You must prove you are a current employee of a cultural institution (including educational institutions, libraries, archives etc.).
Scholarships are sponsored by companies active in Museums and the Web and the application will be posted here by August 1, 2013. The deadline of the submission is August 15, 2013. The review committee will review and select the awardees by August 25, 2013. The application is closed.
